Nut Free 90 Second Keto Bread – Sesame Seed Keto Bread

This recipe is all about making Nut Free Keto Bread in 90 seconds using sesame seed flour. Most people who are allergic to nuts are also allergic to coconut (which most other recipes use), So I decided to go 100% un-nutty and use sesame seeds. I hope you love it!

Even though many recipes claim to be nut free, the always contain coconut. Why is that? Well, what most people don’t understand is that Coconut is not a nut. It is a drupe which, technically is a fruit with a hard shell that covers the seed… confusing right?

Instead of trying to explain my self like the conversation my coconut bread sparked, I thought I’d avoid coconut all together, and use something that’s much more versatile and works very similar to almond flour, except sesame is a seed. Win!

Dairy Free Keto Bread

This bread can easily be made dairy free also, simply by using olive oil instead of butter. (1 Tbsp to be exact). You could use sesame seed oil, but from experience, that amount of sesame seed oil might be a little overpowering, so use olive oil instead.

What If I Don’t Have A Microwave?

If you don’t have a microwave, I totally get it. using a microwave all the time has been shown to cause many health defects that are probably best avoided. So, in that case, I’d suggest placing your heat resistant mug into the oven for 15 mins, allowing for a slower cook and a less eggy taste. That’s a win!

Honestly, I’ve used this bread for all sorts of breakfast ideas, including poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Its super delicious t be able to mop up the runny yolk again! Haleluja 🙂

What Sesame Seed Flour Should I Use?


The best sesame seed flour to use is this one mentioned here, However, if you don’t have access to Amazon for whatever reason, just grind up sesame seeds in a coffee grinder. Its what I did and it works really well.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Sesame Seed Flour (sukrin brand or ground sesame seeds)
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

  • Place the sesame seed flour and the baking powder into a mug. Mix together.
  • With room temperature butter, add the butter, egg and salt to the mug and mix together well.
  • Microwave for 90 seconds (or bake in the oven for 15 mins). Enjoy.

    Hi I tried this as well as the Almond & Coconut Flour version.
    Both were good, but the sesame one ended up with a large air hole in the middle and the other was more dense.
    I note that you use 1 tsp baking powder in this and 1/8 tsp baking powder for the Almond & Coconut flour?

    I also added little pepper into the mix which works well.

    I was wondering can you make any of these breads without the salt? Am a heart patient and can’t have it.

    Did a 4x batch based on 100g of sesame flour. Only mistake was trying to nuke it all at once as the middle didn’t bake. No probs, I cut a fully baked slice from the top and re-nuked it until it was cooked. Eating it toasted with cheese now. Feels more like a savoury cake but for what it is and as a bread substitute this really kicks butt. Not to mention how quick this will be to make in the morning. I’m curious how this would come out cooked in a frying pan in small amounts. Substitute the salt for xylitol and I might have some kind of hybrid pancakes. You can definitely taste the egg and the sesame stands out quite strongly but that is what it says on the tin so not a lot of room for complaints regarding that.
